I am a multidisciplinary artist and am primarily using an amalgamation of drawing and printmaking techniques to create visuals. These drawings are mostly on textured paper in different sizes. I have an interest in the use of line, and its ability to convey movement, and three-dimensionality on a two-dimensional surface. There are two major elements in my drawings and prints, the impression of gauze cloth and the drawing of figures in the movement.

“No identification needed to reflect a soul, my practice is to capture the movement / moment of a soul, when it is in the most moving posture, and that posture reflects the struggle, struggle to fight with in self, to save that self or to let it suffer with in it self.”
The line is an important element in both of my techniques, the lines I draw are planned and indicate form, to give volume to my figures, whereas the lines I use in my printmaking technique are very accidental, harsh, and unplanned. My figures are nude are mostly nudes, and I think that it gives them a timelessness as they are not identifiable by clothing and cultural markers.

Statement For Ballerina work:

The life of an artist is a journey marked by an unrelenting urge for perfection. It is a path paved with dedication, passion, and an unwavering commitment to their craft. Dedication is the fuel of an artist's life. It is the driving force that compels them to spend countless hours shaping their skills, experimenting with new techniques, and pushing the boundaries of their creativity. The pursuit of perfection demands sacrifices, often requiring artists to forsake the comforts of a conventional life in favor of their artistic calling. It means late nights in the studio, missed social gatherings, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The journey to reach perfection can be an intimidating and often elusive goal. Artists are acutely aware that they may never truly reach it, but the pursuit defines their lives. It is a journey that matters.

Painting Heroes in Coffee: A Wake-Up Call to Honor

In the warm sepia tones of coffee, stories of valor emerge. As an artist, I have found a profound connection between the rich hues of coffee washes and the solemn yet heroic faces of Pakistan’s Nishan-e-Haider recipients. Each portrait, crafted with delicate strokes, carries a message that transcends time—a wake-up call, both literally and symbolically, to honor those who gave their lives for the love of their country.

Coffee, a stimulant that awakens the senses, serves as an artistic medium that brings forth not just imagery but emotions. Just as a morning brew stirs us into consciousness, these paintings are a call to remember the sacrifices of the nation’s bravest warriors. Their stories, often buried in history books, resurface through each delicate wash, forming a tapestry of resilience, sacrifice, and patriotism.

As the earthy tones seep into textured paper, they echo the depth of the soil that cradles these heroes. Each portrait is a tribute—a visual requiem that immortalizes their bravery. From Rashid Minhas to Major Aziz Bhatti, the Nishan-e-Haider recipients stand unshaken in sepia, their legacy infused into every drop of coffee that stains the paper.

This artistic endeavor is more than just a creative exercise; it is a call to reflect, respect, and remember. As each painting takes form, so does a sense of gratitude—a realization that the freedoms we enjoy today are etched in the sacrifices of yesterday. The coffee-stained faces of these martyrs are not just artistic expressions; they are reminders, stirring us to uphold the values for which they laid down their lives.

With every brush dipped in coffee, I extend a wake-up call—not just to myself, but to all who gaze upon these portraits. Wake up, remember, and honor the undying spirit of Pakistan’s bravest souls.
